BSc Dairy Technology

B.Sc. Dairy Technology or Bachelor of Science in Dairy Technology is an undergraduate Agriculture Science and Technology course. Dairy technology is a part of science, dealing with the processing of milk and its products. It deals with the study of packaging, processing, transportation, storage and distribution of dairy products by implying the science of biochemistry, bacteriology and nutrition. Apart from that, some principles of chemistry, physics, engineering and economics are also included in the field of dairy technology, to develop the proper utilization of milk and its products.

The study also includes various experiments of effects of different kinds of feed, environmental conditions of milk production and several types of research regarding the prevention of wastage and damage of milk and milk products. The course is of three years duration and is job orienting in nature.

Bachelor of Science

B.Sc. or Bachelor of Science is an undergraduate course. The duration of Bachelor of Science Course spans over a period of three years spanning six Semesters. Three years is the minimum time period between which one can pass the course, the maximum time period of time is generally six years, however this time duration may vary depending upon the Institutes’ Policy. A candidate needs to study 5-6 subjects out of which 2 are Compulsory and 3 are Elective depending upon the Institute. There are limited numbers of combinations of subjects one can opt for depending upon the availability of choices in various Institutes.

Bachelors in Science offers very specified knowledge about certain subject areas, usually in one of the three main science fields of Chemistry, Biology or Physics. It is also known as B.S., B.Sc. (General) and B.Sc. (Pass Course). It is General and Pass Course as it is not Subject Specific and one can choose a number of combinations of subjects, apart from 1-2 Compulsory Subjects.

Bachelor of Arts

B.A. or Bachelor of Arts or B.A. (general) is an undergraduate course. It can be defined as a broad subdivision of culture composed of many expressive disciplines. The course can be pursued either as a full- time graduate course or part time graduate course i.e. through correspondence or distance education depending upon one’s choice. B.A. is often referred as simply B.A. or B.A. Pass Course.

It is general in the sense that it is not subject Specific and one can choose a number of combinations of subjects, apart from 1- 2 Compulsory Subjects. These combinations vary from institute to institute. These subjects can from the Liberal Arts, the Sciences, or both. Normally, a candidate needs to study 5-6 Subjects 1–2 Compulsory and 3 Electives in 6 Semesters.
