Architecture is a multi-disciplinary subject which covers various fields, including spatial design, aesthetics, safety management, material management etc.
An architect is a person who has studied the discipline and is trained and licensed to plan, design and oversee the construction of buildings. Be it the tall skyscrapers or your neighborhood buildings, it is all planned and designed by these trained professionals. The Bachelor of Architecture is a 5-year full-time course.
The bachelor of architecture curriculum includes
- Integrated learning methodology
- Learning techniques such as, block models, sketches, illustrations and PBL.
Duration: 5 years (10 semesters) inclusive of 1 year (2 semesters) of internship in the 5th year of the course.
Citizenship: Indian nationals.
Qualification: Candidates must have a valid NATA score(National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by Council of Architecture (COA) and must have passed any one of the following courses with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate:
10+2 with Mathematics and English as compulsory subject
OR
3 years Diploma (any stream) after 10 years of schooling recognized by Central/State Government with mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.

It has many career opportunities. There are many institutes in India which offers this course. The admission to this course is based on the CEED score, design aptitude score and interview.
